We connect to your battery and give it a jump. Please stay clear of the engine while we work.
Drive on
Once it runs, drive a while before shutting it off. If it won’t hold a charge, we can tow it to a shop.
When a jump is not enough
A jump gets a weak battery started. It doesn’t fix one that’s worn out. If the vehicle dies again, or won’t start after the jump, the battery or the charging system needs a shop.
That’s a tow, and JPS does that too. Say where you’d like the vehicle to go, or ask for a suggestion.
Cold weather and dead batteries
Cold slows a battery down. A vehicle that started fine yesterday can refuse on a frozen morning. That goes for a driveway in town and a farm yard off a county road.
Call early rather than cranking and cranking. Repeated tries only drain what is left in the battery.

No. We bring the jump to you. Stay in a safe spot and keep clear of the engine until we say to try the key.
What if it will not start after the jump?
Then the battery, or something else, needs a shop. We can tow the vehicle there, or home. Tell us where, or ask for a recommendation.
Can you jump any kind of vehicle?
Cars, pickups, SUVs and vans, yes. For hybrids, electric cars or anything unusual, call and give us the make and model first. We’ll say if a jump is right or a tow is safer.
